From the beginning of the invention of phones in 1876, it was created as a form of communication. From then until now the sizes, colors, shapes and functionality continues to change. It started as a house or business phone and transitioned to a mobile device in which we carry with us everywhere we go. So much so that house phones are becoming extinct. Whether it’s a flip, slide or smartphone….we can communicate with someone next door or across the world. It is always in a state of being upgraded. Now you can text, tweet, email, play games, watch movies and the list goes on . Nevertheless there are two things that do not change. It’s a phone and it’s used to communicate.
With every upgrade it will get better and you will have more options that better suits today’s needs as we continue to evolve. We should never forget the origination of the phone and be grateful for all the hard work and creativity behind it no matter how old school we may think the first phone is. It paved a new way for us as well as inspired many to join in on the creativity to continue to upgrade them.
My heart goes out to those of us who will not allow the Holy Spirit to upgrade us when it comes to getting the Good news of Jesus Christ out there to the world. The truth is still the truth coming from the word of God in the bible. Matthew 24:35 (NLT)
Two things that should not change is it being the TRUTH and its use is to communicate The Kingdom of God, His love, and Salvation. There is a strategic wedge the enemy has placed between the Elders and the youth of today. One refuses to upgrade and the other feels disrespected as if their relationship with the Father is not legit because it’s not done exactly the way the Elders do it.
I have and understanding that previous generations may experience fear in this area as they have pressed through, studied to show themselves approved and have gone through many trials and tribulations to pave a way for current and future generations. Being obedient and faithful to the Lord as well as sacrificing. It can be a scary feeling of being left behind with the times and not being appreciated for fighting the good fight. But He has not given us the spirit of fear. You behold Wisdom and it can be shared with the Youth. Youth……Don’t let the enemy deceive you into thinking you know everything and there is no use for the Elders. There are limits to how far you can go before you have completely stepped right out of the Word of God clear to the other side. There is an Old testament and a New testament that produces the whole Truth of God and coexist in One Bible. It is the perfect example of an upgrade while keeping the Truth.
1 Peter 5:2 (NLT) 2 Care for the flock that God has entrusted to you. Watch over it willingly, not grudgingly—not for what you will get out of it, but because you are eager to serve God.
1 Peter 5:5 (NLT) 5 In the same way, you who are younger must accept the authority of the elders. And all of you, dress yourselves in humility as you relate to one another, for
