Everything has a beginning a middle and and end.
The problem is that by the time we get to the middle the enemy has turned up the fire if you will, because he does not want us to reach full maturity. In a journey we are supposed to be moving forward at all times. During this time we will make mistakes, learn and teach but nevertheless; progress should be made.
The problem is that some of us get stuck in the middle of the process. It may be fueled by several reasons such as fear, laziness or settling in being comfortable for example. Mind you, it is our choice and even our Father in heaven gives us a choice. The bigger problem here I have found is this….those that have chosen to remain in the middle, thus being in a state of mediocrity usually are ok being around like minded people. So when someone who has worked hard and has paid whatever price to advance into the state of being extraordinary comes along, it rocks the comfort zone of the mediocre.
Soon, you being the extraordinary person, can run smack into a full blown attack fueled by jealousy and insecurities. They will begin to be used to say and do things to you to break you down into being mediocre so they can feel better. They fail to realize that the time they took to try and accomplish that could have been well spent in their own lives in a positive way so they could shift out of being mediocre and step right up to into being extraordinary!
We were created by an extraordinary God! He created us in His image! (Genesis 1:27)
For those that are in your extraordinary state of being….Don’t you dare step down! Keep pressing forward! Do not hang around too long after trying to be a help and an example to them if they refuse to shift. For those of you who find yourself stuck in that mediocre state…maybe you didn’t realize until now or maybe it took you being somewhat offended by this to realize that’s where you are in life. I say to you…Good! Now let go of the offense and step right up to where you’re supposed to be!
Just remember that when you make that choice, you will have to leave somethings and people behind as you move forward….
Not that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus. Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
